Mindful Self Compassion Group

Are you judgmental or critical of yourself or others?  Does this cause ongoing pain, and leave you feeling stressed, deficient, disconnected and unhappy?  Mindful self-compassion is an evidence-based approach, combining mindfulness with strategies that cultivate compassion and offer freedom from your harshest critic:  yourself.

In this group, you will learn techniques to live in a kinder, more emotionally resilient way.  With the support of others committed to self-compassion, you will explore and heal around difficult emotions and limiting beliefs, and uncover blocks to joy and well-being.   You will learn how to befriend yourself, and accept yourself as you are.  The group is geared towards people who have or wish to develop a mindfulness, compassion or lovingkindness (metta) practice, and who may be dealing with issues related to:

 ·      Self Esteem

·      Anxiety and depression

·      Relationships

·      Life Dissatisfaction

·      Unhealthy habits

The group will meet for 12 weeks, from April 7th - June 23rd, from 6:30 – 8:00pm on Tuesdays. We will have a limited number of participants (8 - 10 members) to allow for growth of trust and connection, and will follow a structured program with exercises, practices and reflections to promote self-compassion.  The group will also include processing of experiences and interpersonal sharing.

Location: Interfaith Counseling Center, 15 Austin Avenue, San Anselmo.

Day and Time: April 7th to June 23rd, from 6:30 - 8:00pm

Fee: $720 ($60/session)
