If you suffer from anxiety, depression or just want to make a change in your life, I am here to help.   I work with you to gently explore your internal landscape to uncover and resolve the unconscious issues that keep you stuck.  My approach is founded on mindfully working with negative thought patterns and the difficult emotions that stem from them.  I support you in developing constructive and life affirming beliefs and managing your emotions so that you can live your life more fully and happily.  I use and teach clients strategies for being kinder and more compassionate with themselves. 

With my training in mediation and coaching, I can help you with interpersonal communication issues as well.  If you struggle with relationships, or have a particular relationship that is prone to conflict, we can work to identify triggers for negative interactions and improve your communication skills to become a better friend, parent, partner or co-worker.  I work well with couples – helping them to speak constructively, to listen deeply and to connect with empathy and compassion.

My approach is fundamentally practical and focused on addressing your needs and meeting your life goals.  With over 20 years mindfulness meditation practice and 12 step experience, I offer therapy that is compassionate, spiritually aware, and solidly based in practices that are known to work.  I love working with diverse populations and am dedicated to cultural sensitivity, inclusivity and being aware of issues of privilege.
